Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

With a low pressure system to the south of the country and an anticyclone just over the upper North Island conditions over much of the country are going to be largely settled, thanks to the main divide.

The West Coast of the South Island is looking to be cloudy with showers and northwesterlies. East of the main divide expect warm weather with a few areas of high cloud, mainly about the far south.

The North Island is looking largely dry, once again warmest temperatures are expected out east. Out west conditions will still be pleasant, expect sunny and cloudy periods with westerlies.
