Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The driest of the two islands today appears to be the Mainland as mostly sunny skies with the exception of some morning cloud, with an early shower out east is the forecast.

If you’re off to mow lawns today, hang washing out or head to the beach or river – today appears to be a reasonable day in the south although a little cool in places.

The North Island see a lttle more action during Sunday morning with some showery conditions possible about Taranaki to start with but improving skies fairly quickly in a number of places with sunshine for most parts by this afternoon.

Not all areas will receive showers as it’s likely to be a hit and miss affair and the central parts of the North island could dodge some of the activity all together.

Auckland has a chance of seeing a some showers today but how many and the exact timing is a tricky one to figure out.

It appears to be the last of the showers for a few days as much of the upcoming week looks dry however next week eastern and northern parts it could be a little damp.

We’re keep an eye to the skies and will bring you the latest weather information on the possilibilty of rain with RainWatch later today.
