Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Expect some rainy conditions about the parts of the South Island today.

A few showers are already popping up around Fiordland.  More widespread rain is expected to set in along the West Coast this morning into this afternoon.  Some brief heavy rain is possible.

Coastal Southland and Otago should also see an increase in precipitation, but it should be mostly in the form of showers.

The rest of the South Island is looking pretty cloudy, but dry.

The North Island should see a bit more sunshine.  No precipitation is expected.

Highs today will range from the upper teens to middle 20’s.
