It will be a wet day for much of country.  Showers will fall about much of the North Island and the upper half of the South Island.

Heavy rain is likely about all of Canterbury.  Heavy rain is also expected about eastern Otago.  Heavy rain warnings remain in effect for these areas.  Snow levels should remain above 800m.

Auckland can expect rain to ease a bit this morning.  Showers are likely to redevelop this afternoon.  Additional heavy rain is not expected.

Hamilton and Wellington will see periods of rain throughout the morning and afternoon.
