A low in the Tasman Sea falls apart today while a weakening sub-tropical low moves into Northland.

North Island:
Mostly cloudy again with heavy rain around Northland. Mostly dry elsewhere with mild easterlies or north easterlies.
Highs: 23 to 26

South Island:
Rain on the West Coast with a little bit of spillover further east, otherwise mild and dry with faitly cloudy weather in many regions. Winds from the northerly quarter.
Highs: 22 to 25
