Upper North Island

Cloud breaks to sunny spells this afternoon, becoming mostly sunny in the morning about the Bay Of Plenty and perhaps the Waikato. Breezy to brisk southwesterly winds.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny with brisk west to southwesterly winds, tending a little more to the south this afternoon along the east coast then easterly by evening.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny in the east with light winds tending easterly this afternoon, there may be come cloud move in up to about Banks Peninsula in the afternoon then clearing away in the evening. The West Coast sees cloudy areas and the odd shower, breezy southwesterlies.

Lower South Island

Cloudy areas and the odd shower, west to southwesterly winds gusty about the Southland and Otago coastlines.

We had a sunny morning and now very cloudy afternoon, huge NW cumulus block the sun showing a threat of rain.
