Upper North Island

Cloudy areas and occasional sun, risk of a shower now and then also. Breezy southwesterly winds.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny along the east coast and about Wellington, northwesterly breezes. Hawkes Bay and Gisborne may see winds tend easterly in the afternoon. Taranaki southwards in the west sees cloudy areas, risk of a shower also otherwise mainly dry.

Upper South Island

Mostly cloudy along the West Coast, chance of a light shower now and then also with west to southwesterly winds. Mostly sunny in the east but expect areas of high cloud, northwesterlies.

Lower South Island

Cloudy in the west with patchy showers or drizzle, some rain for Southern Fiordland. High cloud in the east with breezy northwesterlies.
