Upper North Island

Areas of cloud, the odd shower possible at times otherwise mainly dry. Westerly winds.

Lower North Island

Mostly cloudy in the west with the odd shower, mainly sunny along the east coast with light winds tending northwest.

Upper South Island

Mostly cloudy on the West Coast with showers moving in from afternoon. Plenty of high cloud out east. Winds from the northwest a little gusty about inland areas in the east from afternoon.

Lower South Island

Cloudy in the west with showers then rain from afternoon, a chance of heavy falls also. Thick high cloud out east with the odd spot of rain possible, more persistent rain moves into Southland late afternoon / evening.
