Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A few chances for rain will be popping up across the country today.

We’ve already seen some showers during the overnight hours about the deep south and a few renegade thundery falls about Auckland.

Shower chance will continue about the deep south this morning as well as the West Coast.  This afternoon, shower chances will work their way north so that most of the SI will have a chance for precipitation.  However, the north and east will see just small chances.

On the North Island, Taranaki and Wanganui could see some showers this afternoon.  The rest of the lower North Island could see showers this evening.   Otherwise, the rest of the North Island should see a mix of sun and clouds with generally settled conditions.
