Upper North Island

A mostly sunny day although expect some cloud for Northland with the chance of a light shower or two, mainly in the morning. Winds light from the south or southwest. A little cloud may drift down into Auckland and the Waikato later in the day from further north.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, some cloud moves onto the east coast in the afternoon with easterly breezes.

Upper South Island

Morning cloud for Buller and Nelson with the chance of a light shower then breaking to sunny areas, light winds. A mostly cloudy start along the east coast but sun does break through in the afternoon, east to northeast winds.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny with morning cloud about coastal areas breaking away, light winds for most tending breezy northeast about coastal Otago in the afternoon.
