Upper North Island

Areas of cloud, some sun too. The odd patchy light shower possible mainly this morning. Winds light from the northeast.

Lower North Island

Cloudy areas in the west and about Wellington with northwesterly winds, northwesterlies about Wellington will be fairly  gusty. Perhaps the odd light shower about too. In the east expect mostly sunny conditions and northerly quarter winds.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny with northwesterly winds, areas of cloud on the West Coast. Banks Peninsula northwards right on the coast has light northeasterly winds.

Lower South Island

Cloudy areas in the west with the chance of a shower, more so about Fiordland. Mostly sunny elsewhere with some high cloud and northwesterly winds, some rain about Southland later in the evening or overnight.
