Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Another dry and settled day is expected across the country today.  It’s all thanks to the big high that we’ve been talking about for the last week.

However, it won’t be bright and sunny everywhere.  The North Island will see the most sunshine with the exception of the eastern coastal regions where a few more clouds are expected.  Auckland and the western Waikato could also see a fair amount of clouds.

The most clouds will be found across the deep south of the South Island with Southland and Otago being a bit on the cloudy side.  A mix of sun and clouds will be found across the rest of the SI.

Temperatures should top out in the upper teens to lower 20’s.

Third day of anticyclonic gloom in Whangarei Phil, some drizzle and also cool. Pretty horrible stuff this with no sun to warm it up a bit and put some cheeriness into the day.
