Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today could be a bit rainy for parts of the North Island.

A sub-tropical low will continue to drift south and as it does, it will spread rain across the eastern sections of the North Island.

Gisborne is likely to see the majority of this rain, and some heavy falls are possible.

Other areas likely to get wet today are; the Coromandel Peninsula, Auckland and Waikato.  Although these areas should see the precipitation chances come to an end by late morning or early afternoon.

The rest of the country should have a dry and settled Easter Sunday.  Look for a mix of sun and clouds.

Highs across the country will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s.
