North Island

Areas of high cloud and a few sunny spells after any early fog clears, winds will be light with gentle afternoon sea breezes. About western areas from Taranaki through to Wellington expect cloudy periods.

Upper South Island

Areas of high cloud in the north and east with east to northeast
breezes, any early fog clearing. Cloudier skies in the west with the chance of an evening drizzle patch, light westerly winds.

Lower South Island

Mostly cloudy skies with the odd drizzle patch in the west, light west to northwest winds. Cloudy skies
elsewhere with westerlies about Southland, the odd spot of rain possible about
Southland this morning also then clearing.
