3:30pm Update

We track the rain clouds for you – helping you better plan your weekend outdoors.  Read below for the latest on where the showers lie across New Zealand – and the rain forecast for the rest of the day.

Northland:  No showers at present but some may just clip the Far North moving in from the Tasman.

Coromandel Peninsula/Kaimai Ranges: Showers are still falling from the central ranges eastwards due to afternoon heating.

Western Bay of Plenty/East & South Waikato:  Showers are now clearing here but may remain north of Katikati.  May also be a shower in the hills west of the Hauraki Plains – near State Highways 27 and 2.

King Country/Central Plateau:  Afternoon heating will keep showers active from Taumarunui to National Park.  Some showers may be heavy .

Nelson region: Showers are continuing to develop this afternoon along the ranges.  Some may be heavy.

We dont expect too much to change however showers should clear in most areas as the evening moves in.
