A northwesterly airflow lies over the South Island tonight while a ridge extending from an anticyclone east of the North Island covers the north. The weather is looking fairly stable, drizzle can be expected on the West Coast of the South Island and elsewhere will be mainly dry.

Clear spells with some cloud, could be a few fog patches develop overnight. Light winds.

Bay Of Plenty
Mainly clear with a few clouds, southwesterlies ease off this evening.

Central North Island & Waikato
Areas of cloud with light winds, could be a few fog patches develop.
Lows tonight: 2-4

Eastern North Island
Clear with light winds.

Western North Island
Cloudy areas with north to northwest breezes.

Wellington
Cloudy spells with northerlies.
