Another unbelievable 19 degree spread in highs across New Zealand today as sub-tropical warmth spreads over the north and bitterly cold air remains trapped in the south.
A low in the northern Tasman Sea has been pulling down warm tropical air across northern New Zealand with regions pushing close to 20 degrees. Tonight overnight lows will be up to 14 degrees warmer in the north than this time last week.
