Sun to kick off the week – Your Main Centre outlook on Monday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It’s looking sunny and bright to start a new winter week – with high temperatures and relatively settled conditions for most of the country on Monday.

A ridge lies over the North Island, while a northwesterly airflow lies over the South Island – meaning our main centres stay dry and warm for the most part.

Main Centres

Auckland

Warm and sunny in Auckland, with cloud increasing towards the end of the day – but not before temperatures get up into the late teens(!) and the sun shines brightly.

Wellington

Similar story in the capital, with sunny spells and temperatures in the mid teens, with northerlies and some cloud increasing as the day goes on.

Christchurch

Increasing high cloud is the order of the day in Christchurch too, after a mostly sunny morning, and temperatures in the low to mid teens.

Wow, a Beautiful sunny day with E visibility stopping over Avondale!

Very foggy , can’t see Mt Albert!

Been a bit of fog around Auckland lately – may be more with these highs and sub-tropical air coming down (more humidity, more cloud etc).  Lovely when it clears to a sunny day!

Cheers
