This week is defined by a lot of low pressure in the Southern Ocean, high pressure north of us – and windy westerlies right over the top of New Zealand.
It will bring a mostly frost-free mild week to the country.
However, a polar blast is still possible this weekend – reminding us that winter isn’t over, even if we do have an early start to spring.

Awesome wind patterns over Auckland, provided great various cloud displays.
A real treat as showers threatened and a few flecks of rain landed on windows.
