Spring calm – #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Things are settling down after a cold, wet and windy end to spring for many parts of the country – with what we’d say is a more typical springtime weather pattern.

It’s looking dry for most on both western coasts heading into the weekend, though late rain or showers may affect part of the West Coast and lower South Island into the evening.

Main Centres

Auckland

A warm day in Auckland, aside from the chance of the odd passing shower to start, expect sunny weather with southeast winds which ease across the day, and a high of around 20C.

Wellington

Cooler in the capital, after morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, and southerly winds die out in the evening – a high of just 13C.

Christchurch

And a similar story in Christchurch, as morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, and east to northeast winds, a high in the mid teens.
