Spring allergies – have they started yet?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Last month WeatherWatch.co.nz declared and early start to Spring this year, with lambs and calves being born and flowers and buds coming in to bloom. Now, we have pollen.

Certainly across the North Island in recent days pollen has been detected and reported from pine and wattle trees.

A number of WeatherWatch.co.nz readers have contacted us to let us know.

If you’re an allergies sufferer – have you noticed the pollen this week?  Send in your comments or photos!

In Napier it’s bad. The car is covered in it already!

Hi guys

Yes have noticed a lot of pine pollen starting to come around in Whangarei over the last week. Starting to affect me slightly allergy wise, hoping it’s not going to be a bad season!
