Our special focus on Kaikoura to Wellington continues – and Thursday is a “miserable one” according to head weather analyst Philip Duncan as a southerly blast arrives.
Winds will be mainly below damaging and rainfall totals mostly below flooding levels – but with tens of thousands of slips due to the quakes and with the flooding in Wellington additional wind and rain will not be welcome.
Remember there is good news – the weather settles down on Friday and into the weekend for many regions, especially Kaikoura up to Wellington.
