Some wet weather, some dry – Saturday

The weather is mainly settled today under a thin weak ridge of high pressure, out in the Tasman is an approaching front and to the east a low is moving away.

The West Coast sees rain tonight with spits of rain spreading to eastern South Island areas tomorrow morning, this clears up in the afternoon for the east coat to sun and warm temperatures.

The North Island has a few showers in the west tomorrow, turning to rain in the morning for Taranaki through to Wellington then it’s the upper North Island’s turn from afternoon. Eastern regions see some rain spread from the west as a front pushes northwards during the day.

Metservice has a watch out for thunderstorms tomorrow about some western regions, Auckland and Northland have a low chance of severe storms. You can see the outlook from Metservice here.
