Some ski fields in store for a top up into the weekend

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A southwesterly airflow replaces a more northerly weather patter on Thursday, while some places are in for showers, and many ski fields are in for some fresh powder ahead of the weekend.

A front should clear after some early morning cloud activity about the Gisborne and East Cape area, while in the South Island another front will start to move northwards during the day.
This front shouldn’t bring anything too dramatic, but showers will affect most regions on and off through the day – with the exception of Nelson and Marlborough, which should stay mostly dry.

For more details, we’ll have our main forecast along first thing Thursday morning, while Philip Duncan’s latest weather video is available to view here.
