Sick of NZ’s weather? Then this might make you jealous!

> From the WeatherWatch archives

These stunning photos were sent in by Kiwi’s Ron and Annette Marsden who are currently holidaying in Greece.  As regular visitors to weatherwatch.co.nz Ron was eager to hear if the recent storms were going to affect his home and family. After putting his mind at ease we asked if he could send in some photos of the weather from his holiday spot.

Ron says Greece has been sweltering under clear blue skies and no rain for a month now.  It may look great but it’s caused some widespread fires across the country.

These photos are taken from Halkis, on the island of Evia – which is off Greece’s East Coast.

Thanks for the photos Ron – it’s great to hear from New Zealanders who are overseas!

Wonder what their winter season is like?? Worse than what NZ gets?? NZ looks much better and greener on every ‘stunner of a day’ we get here! Maybe we should send them photos of what NZ is like in summer when they have their winter season? Your thoughts Philip?

I think that’s a great idea!  I have a lot of family in Canada and we often like to stir each other up when it’s summer there/wintere here and vice versa!

When Summer rolls around be sure to send us some good photos and we’ll boost about how great the weather in New Zealand is!

Cheers

Philip Duncan
