Showers in the north on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

On Friday we have a cool southwesterly airflow lying over the country, and while a fair chunk of the South Island sees mostly sunny weather (or sunny areas at least), Southland and coastal Otago could see showers through the day.

There’s also a risk of a few about Buller, Marlborough and Nelson in the late afternoon and towards evening.

For the North Island, most regions see showers during the day, although they should ease in the afternoon and clear in the evening for most.
The odd shower may remain for exposed eastern parts of the North Island (from Gisborne to Wairarapa) and western coastal areas of Northland and Auckland.
