Settling down again on Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Things are set to calm right down again after a wet and chilly change for much of the country to start the week – with another large system of high pressure moving in from the Tasman to dominate our skies.

Heading nearer to the weekend, a ridge extends right over most of the country, meaning sunny and clear conditions for pretty much everyone.
The exceptions are the East Coast of the North Island and Wellington – while Fiordland will also buck the trend with rain and showers the order of the day there.
