Settled start for many

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Much of the country is seeing dry and somewhat sunny conditions with Whakatane top of the charts again this morning.

Yesterday a new November record was set for the town with 32 degrees and this morning the remnants of that heat remains, as the thermometer is close to 20 degrees.

A nor’ wester is building in the south and central and southern areas, especially inland, should see some grunt in that wind throughout the day.

Temperatures are likely to be on the high side in central and eastern areas.
