Saturday’s national forecast – High moves in

Mainly settled weather today thanks to high pressure, a southerly quarter airflow moving around this high brings cloud and a few showers to the eastern North Island however.

North Island

Mostly cloudy in the east with a few showers, mainly about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne, Wairarapa will be drier. Out west expect a mix of sun and cloud with light winds then afternoon sea breezes, northeasterlies north of Auckland. There could be an isolated shower or two from afternoon anywhere north of about Waikato otherwise mainly dry.

South Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds then afternoon sea breezes, there may be some morning cloud in the east then breaking away, perhaps some afternoon cloud about inland eastern ranges. North of Westport has some cloud and the odd shower.
