A large high pressure system sits right over the country today bringing settled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Morning cloud with the risk of a shower then sunny spells increase, Northland could have an isolated afternoon shower due to some heating. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon (sea breeze).
Highs: 18 – 22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, light winds.
Highs: 15 – 19

Eastern North Island

Mainly sunny, morning cloud north of Napier clears away. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 16 – 18

Wellington

Mostly sunny with northerlies after midday.
Highs: 16 – 20

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 17 – 21

Canterbury

Sunny, east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 17 – 24

West Coast

Sunny, a few harmless clouds. Later in the evening cloud starts to thicken for Fiordland with a few showers moving in. Light winds.
Highs: 17 – 21

Southland & Otago
Sunny, light north to northwesterly winds. East to northeasterly winds for coastal Otago with cooler temperatures than inland.
Highs: 20 – 25
