An easterly airflow lies over the North Island today while northeasterlies push over the South Island. Northern and eastern parts of the North Island can expect rain or showers at times while in the South Island eastern areas should expect drizzle, a front will deliver some rain to Fiordland and perhaps other southern areas later in the day.

Showers with south to southwest winds.

Morning rain eases to the odd shower, dry spells at times with southeasterly winds. About the Coromandel particularly in the east rain may be heavy at times during the day.

Rain, possibly heavy at first about western Bay Of Plenty. Gusty easterly winds.

Occasional areas of rain with brisk easterly winds.

Cloudy with the odd shower, breezy easterly winds.

Eastern North Island
Rain, possibly heavy at times with gusty easterly breezes.

Mostly cloudy skies with gusty east to southeast winds, chance of a brief shower now and then otherwise mainly dry.

Mostly cloudy with brisk easterly breezes. The odd shower at times in the east.

Cloudy skies with east to southeast breezes, there may be a brief shower now and then otherwise dry.

Sunny spells and high cloud, high cloud gradually thickens in the afternoon. The odd spot of rain may develop in the evening.

Sunny with high cloud, northeast breezes. High cloud thickens in the afternoon then a few showers move in late evening.
