Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure continues to push toward New Zealand today.

That has set up a nice southwesterly flow across the country.  So look for lots of dry and settled weather today with just a few chances for showers.

One of those chances for showers will be about Southland and Central Otago.  Auckland, Wellington, Nelson and Gisborne could also see a few quick-hitting light showers.  However, even if showers do get going, they shouldn’t last long.

The rest of the country should see a dry and settled day.

Most areas should see daytime highs in the lower to middle 20’s.  However, the coastal sections of Southland and Otago may have trouble making out of the teens.
