Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A dying area of low pressure may spark a few rogue showers over parts of the North Island today.  Otherwise, the country is looking at a settled Saturday.

Auckland, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington are all running the risk for a shower today.  Best chance would be this morning.  But even those chances are pretty small.

Most of the North Island can expect clouds to break apart as we go through the day.  That September sunshine will add a bit of warmth, but it looks like highs today will be pretty close to what we saw yesterday.

On the South Island, expect a mix of sun and clouds for most areas.  Invercargill will likely see an increase in the clouds late in the day with a chance for showers after sunset.

Highs today will range from the upper teens to lower 20’s.  Highs tomorrow are expected to be just a touch warmer.
