Low pressure hangs around New Zealand today bringing mainly unsettled weather.
Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny spells and isolated showers, chance of a heavy fall and or thunderstorm in the afternoon then easing in the evening. Light northeasterly winds.
Highs: 22-23
Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning sun then showers develop in the afternoon, especially inland where some will be heavy with thunderstorms then easing later in the evening. Taranaki sees showers from morning. Northerly winds.
Highs: 18-23
Eastern North Island
A mostly sunny morning, some cloud builds in the afternoon with isolated showers developing about the ranges. Some of these showers may become heavy with thunderstorms and perhaps spread to the coast for a time in the evening. Showers then clear later on. Northeasterly winds.

Wellington
Sunny spells and the odd isolated shower, northerly winds.
High: 20
Marlborough & Nelson
Morning rain, possibly heavy then easing from afternoon and clearing in the evening. North to northwesterly winds.

Canterbury
Morning rain clears away then mostly sunny, inland areas see isolated showers develop in the afternoon possibly heavy then clearing later in the evening. Light northeasterly winds.

West Coast
Showers, some may be heavy with thunderstorms. Northerly winds.
Highs: 17-18
Southland & Otago
Morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, isolated showers develop in the afternoon especially inland where some could be heavy then clearing later in the evening. Light winds.
Highs: 17-19
