Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A settled Saturday is expected for most of the country.

A mix of clouds and sun is expected for most of the North Island as we go throughout the day.  Northeasterlies will pick up during the afternoon about the northern regions.  Northwesterlies are expected for Wellington.

Look for a mainly cloudy sky along the West Coast on the South Island.  There is a good chance for rain developing along the southern West Coast early this morning.  It will slide north during the morning and afternoon hours.

The deep south could also see some precipitation today.

The eastern South Island should see a mild day with north winds and some sunshine peeking through some high cloudiness.
