Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Occasional showers, rain moves into Northland during the afternoon and may reach Auckland in the evening. East to northeasterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Some early sun possible then expect cloud to increase in the morning, rain moves into Taranaki early morning pushing down into the Manawatu late afternoon / evening. East to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-17
 
Eastern North Island
A chance of early sun otherwise expect skies to become mostly cloudy during the morning. The odd light shower or drizzle patch later in the evening. Light east to southeasterly winds.

Wellington
A chance of early sun otherwise expect increasing cloud from morning, showers move in late afternoon / evening. Southeasterly winds.
High: 14
 
Marlborough & Nelson
Cloudy with some rain developing late afternoon or evening, east to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-15
 
Canterbury
Mostly cloudy, a few sunny spells possible mainly nearer the coast. Cloud thickens from mid afternoon then the odd drizzle patch develops by evening especially inland. Easterlies.

West Coast
Mainly sunny weather with light winds. Some cloud moves into Buller from midday with showers then pushing down from the north during the afternoon.

Southland & Otago
Cloudy areas and occasional sunny spells, there may be an isolated shower or two late afternoon / evening about Central Otago. Coastal Otago is mainly cloudy during the day. Light east to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 12-16
