Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny areas with Nor’East winds from midday, a chance of early fog about inland areas. Showers late afternoon / evening about the Waikato possibly heavy. Northland is a slightly different story with mostly cloudy skies for the day and easterly winds, chance of a shower or two mainly in the east.
High: 25-28

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning, afternoon sea breezes. Isolated showers possible late afternoon / evening about the Central North Island some of which may become heavy.
Highs: 25-29

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with east to northeasterly winds, chance of a few isolated showers late afternoon / evening about the ranges of Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
Highs: 25-26

Wellington

Sunny areas with light winds, perhaps tending Southerly in the afternoon.
High: 24

Marlborough & Nelson

Morning cloud breaking to sunny areas, east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 24-26

Canterbury

Morning cloud with a chance of drizzle then breaking to sunny areas, East to Nor’East winds.
Highs: 22-24

West Coast

Mostly sunny after any morning cloud breaks away, west to southwesterly winds. Warm inland especially about inland Buller.
Highs: 23-28

Southland & Otago

Any morning low cloud or fog breaks to sunny areas, light winds for most although breezy east to northeast winds for coastal Otago in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-25
