RainWatch – Rain for the north / northeast, dry in the southwest

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A front starts to break away from an evolving low pressure centre west of the North Island on Friday, this brings heavy falls in the northeast. The low centre itself could bring a few isolated heavy falls which rotate onto Northland during the afternoon. The South Island sees easing conditions Canterbury northwards, mainly dry elsewhere.

The below map shows snow accumulation through to 6am tomorrow morning.
