A fairly unsettled day across New Zealand today.
The North Island in the west sees showers then rain this afternoon. Rain may be heavy with thunderstorms then easing to showers again later in the evening. The east coast of the North Island sees the odd spot of rain at times from afternoon.
For the South Island we have heavy rain (possible thunderstorms too) on the West Coast north of the Glaciers easing to a few showers this afternoon, same goes for the northwest Nelson area. The East Coast (mainly Canterbury and Marlborough) see a few showers clearing this mornining.
Southland sees showers for much of today, Otago sees the odd morning shower clear then showers again overnight.
