RainWatch – Dry for most today, a few showers about the extremities

Dry for most regions today, most ….. but not all regions. Expect a few light showers for Fiordland in the South Island. A few morning isolated showers north of Auckland clear, showers for Hawkes Bay clear in the afternoon, easing about Gisborne however showers linger through the night.

Dry for the North Island on Friday, a northwesterly airflow strengthens over the South Island bringing rain into South Westland with heavy falls. Rain moves into Southland in the evening then brief rain for Otago overnight.

Rain for the West Coast of the South Island eases to showers in the morning on Saturday, rain moves into the western North Island Taranaki southwards from afternoon. Mainly dry for eastern regions, Southland may see a few spits at times.
