RainWatch: 24 hours forecast rainfall up until 7am Sunday

We have a few showers around the country today, mostly in the North Island and mainly clearing today.

In the South Island any remaining showers are now clearing Banks Peninsula (as of 8:40am). 

In the North Island showers around Northern Hawke’s Bay, Mahia Peninsula Gisborne and East Cape will ease today and gradually clear up.

In Auckland and remaining showers are now clearing the north west of the region, a couple isolated showers may remain this morning. 

In the Northland region showers are affecting mainly the western side of the region but the odd shower is possible for much of the day – but will also clear this afternoon.

Overnight tonight a couple of showers may affect Southland and Otago and some rain moves back into Fiordland.
