High pressure is moving back into NZ but one more day of rain and downpours will affect the North Island.
Rain again returns to Hawke’s Bay but the amounts vary and are nothing like Monday’s totals. Still, after the recent flooding locals should keep up to date with the latest forecast and information. 30 to 60mm is forecast in the region today, as a general outlook.
For Auckland’s Hunua water catchment area the recent rain has been fantastic, along with slow moving downpours. Today a few showers (smaller) are in the mix and a low risk of a bigger downpour in the south later.
Auckland actually is looking at another extended dry spell coming up – so while the rain was “o” for “orsome”, it was also a drop in the bucket compared to the annual rainfall deficit.
