Fresh rain warnings have been issued tonight by government forecaster MetService.

You’ll see the warnings, in full, issued at 8:11pm Saturday, below.

Heavy Rain Warning, Areas Affected: Bay of Plenty & Rotorua:  In the 30 hours from 9pm Saturday to 3am Monday, expect 90mm to 120mm of rain, however 160mm is possible in areas east of Rotorua. Peak intensities of 20mm per hour are possible from Sunday afternoon onwards.

Heavy Rain Warning, Area Affected: The ranges of Westland south of Otira:  In the 12 hours from 6am Sunday to 6pm Sunday, expect 70 to 90mm of rain. Peak intensities of 20mm/hr possible Sunday afternoon.
