> From the WeatherWatch archives

A listing of all warnings, watches and outlooks are below.

The crown forecaster has today issued rain warnings for both islands with the expectation of more to come as a large Autumn system slowly moves towards the country.

A large and deep low in the Southern Ocean will fire up a number of fairly slow moving rain bands this weekend with rain expected to be particularly heavy in western and northern regions of both islands, starting in the South Island and progressing into the North Island on Saturday.

Heavy rain may also spill over into the Gisborne region on Sunday.
