Rain update for Sunday & Monday as wet weather slowly moves over North Island

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Rain spreads over the North Island further today and Monday with heavy falls but also drizzly patches mixed in.

The rain will be patchy as it moves in – every rain band is unique in shape and layout so the best way to track the rain is by taking the following steps.

  • Check % of rain but also the rainfall TOTALS in your hyper local WeatherWatch.co.nz and RuralWeather.co.nz. (ie, some people may have 100% chance of rain but only a couple mm forecast, as can be the case when it’s very humid).
  • Visually see peak rainfall times using the rain graphs at RuralWeather.co.nz
  • View any MetService rain warnings or watches here
  • TRACK the rain radar LIVE here
