POLL RESULTS: Shoo fly don’t bother us – more flies around than ever

> From the WeatherWatch archives

This week we were focusing on flies – specifically, the number of them around the country during this late-bloomer of a summer!

We wanted to know how many of our readers had (like us) noticed an increase in the number of winged pests buzzing around the last few weeks, as the temperatures have risen.

It seems as though many kiwis are on the same page, with more than half of those who voted saying they were noticing “a lot more” than usual, while 27% said they hadn’t noticed a difference one way or the other.

The remaining 19% who said they are seeing less than normal – we want to know where in the country you are, so we can come and spend a few days in peace!
