Poll Results: Over half of NZers affected by July’s travel disruptions

> From the WeatherWatch archives

July has seen a lot of severe weather affecting travellers. From black ice to snow, flooding to gales, fog to thunderstorms, the weather in July caused numerous ferry crossing and flight cancellations along with closing dozens of state highways.

Over half of voters in our poll say the weather affected their travel plans.

A total of 22% say their travel plans were “significantly” affected by the weather while another 32% said “a little bit”.

No doubt roading authorities and airlines (and the public itself!) will be hoping for a much quieter August weather-wise.

Our next poll is out on Sunday
