Poll Results: Most New Zealanders want at least one week without rain

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It’s been another wet week in many places with New Zealand regions that were already wetter than average copping much of the heaviest rain this time around.

Our recent poll across this past week asked Kiwis how much they need, or want, dry weather.

58% voted for the option “So badly, please just give me a week without any wet weather!”.

Another 16% said “a few days” would be good, but that generally it hasn’t been too bad/wet for them lately.

12% need more rain – most likely lower and inland parts of the South Island which have seen a drier trend in recent months while the North Island and many other regions, including Canterbury and coastal Otago and coastal Marlborough, trended wetter than usual.

Our next poll it out tomorrow – please make the most of the sun while you have it as more rain is coming over the next 6 days.
