POLL RESULTS: More than half of kiwis enjoying the frosty weather

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The last few weeks have been rather frostier than what we’ve seen so far in 2016 – with snow, some heavy frosts, and biterly cold winds blowing around the country.

This week, we wanted to know what New Zealanders thought of the newly cool conditions – and the answers certainly came as a surprise!

More than half – nearly 60% of voters said that they are enjoying the cold, and that ‘winter is great’ – while the rest were in the summer camp – saying they ‘prefer warm spells’.

With a warmer than average June on the cards, and more autumnal weather patterns this week, there may be something for both halves to cheer this month!
