Poll Results – kiwis happy to see the back of “Winter”

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The results of our latest poll are in – and we’ve split opinion almost straight down the middle!

We asked our readers to tell us how they felt about the end of Winter – were they happy it was over, sad to see the back of their favourite season, or wondering whether it ever arrived in the first place?

The results were astonishing – 43 percent of us can’t wait to get into Spring proper, while 46 percent don’t believe we even had a winter.

11 percent are disappointed to see the end of a mainly mild Winter in temperature terms, although the ski season wasn’t too bad – most who were fortunate enough to get up a mountain in either island were reasonably happy with their excursions.

It seems like we’re a reasonably contented bunch at the moment, although most of the results were in before the big storm struck the South Island!

Watch this space for our next poll, coming 11am today, Sunday.
